Surgery on an Infant Without Anesthesia?

Can you imagine surgery on an infant without anesthesia? Fortunately Dr. T. Berry Brazelton and his contemporaries changed how we think about and treat babies in the U.S., putting an end to such cruelty. He helped us see that babies not only respond to the environment but they also help shape it. Harvard Magazine recently ran an article that takes a look at Dr. T. Berry Brazelton’s life and legacy.
