Here’s an inspirational story about a social worker and new father, Frederick Newell, who decided to form a support group for dads in his home town, Iowa City. He says the aim is “basically getting fathers engaged who are not engaged in their kids lives as well as supporting fathers who are engaged.” The group has been meeting with Frederick Newell once a week for a year so far to learn and talk about the skills and responsibilities of being a dad.
