Excerpt from an interview with Helen Pasley, the Director at the Early Childhood Center at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Barbara California. Helen tells a story of a mom in her program who was trying to balance the needs of a sick child with keeping her job. Helen has worked with young children for more than 40 years. She has a Masters in Child Development Services and has been Director of her Center since 1991.
