In this interview, Samuel J. Meisels, EdD makes the case for prenatal support through the use of doulas. Meisels was the president of the Erikson Institute from 2002-2013. He is an emeritus professor of education at the University of Michigan and was on the faculty at Michigan for 21 years. In 2013, he became the founding executive director of the Buffett Early Childhood Institute at the University of Nebraska.
