Zero to Three has written a comprehensive agenda for the Administration and the 113th Congress calling for “public policies that ensure children are ready for school and life by incorporating the infant-toddler years as an essential part of the birth-to-8 continuum”.
The Agenda: Paving the Path to School Readiness and Beyond includes five common principles that are well aligned with the pillars of the For Our Babies campaign:
“1. Beginning as early as possible, ideally prenatally
2. Emphasizing the interrelationship of all domains of development, as well as the importance of the parent-child relationship
3. Providing broad support for children with developmental delays and disabilities, integrated with early care and learning programs
4. Ensuring a comprehensive approach to services; and
5. Emphasizing quality among services and practitioners.”
